Nicolas Theodore de Saussure is a chemist and a Botaniste Suisse, born in 1767 and died in 1845.

It takes part in the searches of his father, Horace-Bénédict de Saussure (1740-1799), and makes appear chemical Recherches on the vegetation (1804). He is married in Renee Fabri-Vernet (1767-1847). He has the appearance of a pioneer in the field of physiology and the chemistry of the plants.
