Nicolas Robert
Nicolas Robert (1610-1684) is a miniaturist and Graveur French.
Born with Langres, it was named painter of the king for the miniature, Nicolas Robert played a big role in the botanical illustration.
The art with which it drew plants for the embroiderers drew the attention of Gaston of Orleans. After having undertaken the collection of the Collection of vellums , where it paints plants and animals, collection which is preserved today at the National library of France, Robert was charged to engrave the plants which it had painted and was made help by Abraham Bosse, then by Louis de Châtillon.
