Nicolas Rémy
Nicolas Rémy is a lawyer, historian, diplomat and Lorraine author of the end of the 16th century. It is deceased in 1616 and exerted the trades of secretary of the duke Charles III of Lorraine, member of the supreme court of Nancy.
It is known for its work on the demons, wizard and witch: Démonolâtrie (1582).
Nicolas Rémy would have condemned to death 3000 people in fifteen years, including 900 witch. Eric Timmermans indicates that " Only the children were saved by his " justice" inquisitorial, but however made them it despite everything whip and obliged them it to dance or run around roughing-hew it of their parents."
