Nicolas Lawson , born the March 11th 1953 with Aného in the Prefecture of the Lakes with the Togo, is a businessman and a politician Togolese.
After primary studies and secondaries in the Upper Volta (Current Burkina Faso), with the Togo and the Dahomey (current Benign), it starts studies of agronomy to Lome before leaving for Europe to follow studies of hotel management in Ireland and studies of modern letters, history and economic and social administration in France.
Editor of press, Nicolas Lawson created and directed several Togolese newspapers: the Letter of the Nation , and the Revival .
In July and August 1991, it takes part in the sovereign National conference under the colors of Association for the social growth and freedom (ACLS) then becomes member of the High council of the Republic.
It settles thereafter with the Ghana to reconvert itself into the businesses. It chairs the Ghanaian committee of the French-speaking Forum of the businesses (F) and the West African Federation of the contractors. He was the Vice-president of the Chamber of commerce and France-Ghana Industry.
Lawson is the candidate of the Party for the revival and redemption (PRR) to the presidential election of 2003. It obtains 0,2% of the voices and presents a complaint for fraud and diversion of its voices, without success. In 2005, again candidate following the death of the president Gnassingbé Eyadema, it withdraws its candidature on April 23rd, the day before poll whereas François Boko, Minister of Interior Department, claimed a carryforward of the election before resigning. According to the official results, it obtained 1% of the voices.
