Biography

May 19th, 2006, the FNHB celebrated its 10th birthday and launched on this occasion the Challenge for the Earth to Belgium.

Political commitment for ecology

Candidature for the presidential election of 2007

The November 7th 2006, it launches the ecological Pacte in order to impose ecology in the French presidential campaign. It thus wishes to challenge the candidates, to mobilize the citizens and to nourish the public debate. Its Pact will be signed by 5 candidates out of 12 declared with presidential (Ségolène Royal, Nicolas Sarkozy, Francois Bayrou, Marie-George Buffet and Dominique Voynet) and more 700 000 people. Two other candidates, who did not sign the pact, nevertheless reacted on the initiative: Arlette Laguiller rejects the responsibility for the situation on employers and refuses in block the proposed measures by Mr. Hulot while Olivier Besancenot proposes alternative solutions, according to him more effective than those proposed by Mr. Hulot.

This launching will be followed by several weeks of ecological lobbying, during which, it will meet a great number of candidates - declared or not - to the presidential election of 2007.
