Nicolas House
Nicolas Pavillon (Paris, November 17th 1597 - Alet, December 8th 1677) is a ecclesiastic French, bishop of Alet.
Biography
Nicolas Pavillon is born the November 17th 1597 with Paris, in a family of members of Parliament. The weather is his studies with the Collège of Navarre then to the Sorbonne where he studies the Théologie, at the same time as Vincent of Paul. After its ordination, it becomes in 1637 bishop of the small diocese of Alet, in the south-east of Toulouse.It is very quickly associated with the movement Jansenist and gallican, in particular by its refusal to sign the Formulaire condemning the proposals drawn from the Augustinus of Jansénius.
After being falls ill the October 15th, it dies the December 8th 1677 and quickly becomes a “hero” of the Jansenist cause.
