Nicolas Focq
Nicolas Focq was a French mechanic of the 18th century, originator of machine tools.
In 1751, Nicolas Focq invented the machine with to plane the Fer then the machine to to ream, which locates it among the precursors of industrial mechanization.
In 1751, Jacques de Vaucanson built to it metal first turn to slide-lathe. In 1773, Jesse Ramsden created the machine to divide the circles which would be the oldest automatic machine of industrial use. In 1775, John Wilkinson completed the first boring lathe whose importance was capital for the machining of the cylinders of steam engines. In 1795, the French Senot carried out the first turn with to thread, before the turns of Henry Maudslay (1797) and of John Wilkinson (1798)
