Nicolas Eugene Géruzez

Nicolas Eugene Géruzez , born with Rheims the January 6th 1799 and died in Paris the May 29th 1865, is a historian of the literature and critical literary French.

Nephew of the canon Jean-Baptiste François Géruzez (1764-1830), professor of eloquence to the Sorbonne, it publishes many works of authors such as Corneille, the Fountain, Molière, Racine, Jean-Baptiste Rousseau and collaborates in many newspapers. He is also the author of many studies on the French literature, among which a Histoire of the French literature, since its origins until the Revolution .

His/her son is the literary man and cartoonist Victor Eugene Géruzez, known as Crafty.
