Nicolas Esquillan (1902 with Fontainebleau - January 21st, 1989) was an engineer French specialized in the construction of works of art.

- 1922: Graduate of the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of arts and trades of Châlons on the Marne
- 1923: Engaged by Simon Boussiron in his research department. Under its direction and with the councils of Roger Valette, it takes part in the study of many works of Article
- 1932: Simon Boussiron charges it with the design and the realization of the bridge of the Rock-Guyon which, with 161 m of range gains the world records of the reinforced concrete bridges with suspended deck, during its completion in 1934
- 1936: He is chief of studies of works of art of the Company.
- 1937: He undertakes the bridge of Clairac on the Batch.
- 1941: It is named chief technical officer of the Company and until 1971.
- 1943 will remain it: It completes the bridge of Coudette on Gave of Pau which, with 111 m of range, gains the world records of the bridges road out of reinforced concrete bowstring beam.
- 1950: It rebuilds the highway-bridge of Conflans-End of Oise. It rebuilds the viaduct of railroad of the Mediterranean on the Rhone, connecting Chasse and Givors. With 124 m of range, it gains the world records of the reinforced concrete railway bridges with double suspended track.
- 1951: It builds the hangar with two naves of the airport of Marignane which held, to the realization of the CNIT, the world records of range for the covers with thin shell.
- 1953: He undertakes the first large French concrete railway bridge prestressed in Voulte on the Rhone, completed in 1955, which, with its 300 m, was the longest bridge of the world under normal prestressed concrete railway.
- 1954: It gains in particular in front of R. Morandi, the contest of the bridge of Abidjan, 372 m length on piles founded to 70 m below the level of water, completed in 1957.
- 1957: It carried out the pylons of the bridge of Tancarville which, with 123 m height, gained the world records height of the piles of reinforced concrete suspended bridge.
- 1958: Having gained the contest of the CNIT in partnership with Bernard Zehrfuss and Marcel Breuer, in front of Bully boy and Freyssinet in 1955, it carries out the palate which, with 206 m length of frontage and 238 m under the edges of valley, always holds the world records of range, just as that of the more large surface supported not by support: 7500 m ².
- 1961: He is consulting engineer of the pale of the exposures of Turin.
- 1967: It carries out the second bridge of Abidjan.
- 1968: It builds the Olympic stadium of ice of Grenoble.
- 1989: Died on January 21st.
