Nicolas Vanier (born the May 5th 1962 with the Senegal) is an adventurer, writer and Réalisateur French.

Biography

Nicolas Vanier is impassioned for the far North as of adolescence, it begins his forwardings while crossing to foot the Lapland in 1982. In 1983, it attacks the Québécois far North on the traces of the Indians Montagnais. It explores more before Canadian north while crossing the peninsula of New-Quebec-Labrador with sledges with dogs. Nicolas Vanier prepares for winter 2005/2006 the Siberian Odyssée , a tour of 8.000 km and 4 months through Siberia which it will carry out at a rate of 80 kilometers per day with an attachment of ten dogs, of Irkoutsk to Moscow. The departure is envisaged on December 1st, 2005 on the edges of the Lac Baïkal.

Nicolas Vanier also has, with his fellow-member Alain Brenichot, created in Quebec, with 60 kilometers of the lake Midsummer's Day, the Camp of the barks, base camp which proposes adventures in the Far North.
