Nicolas-Alexandre Salins , born with Versailles in 1753 and died with Nantes in 1839, is a architect French.
After studies of architecture in Paris, it leaves for Low-Alsace in 1776 to exert there the function of inspector of the public buildings. It directs work of certain churches of the Alsatian countryside as to Mertzwiller, Weyersheim and Rosheim (Saint-Etienne church).
Following the fire of the episcopal castle of Saverne (September 8th, 1779), the prince-bishop Louis-Rene-Edouard de Rohan entrusts the rebuilding of it to him. He cannot however finish his work completely since he emigrates in Germany in 1790, takes an active part in the Contre-révolution then settles with Francfort-sur-le-Main in 1797. He honors there with many orders of residences for the city and his surroundings. Its reputation then calls it with redécorer several large residences of central Germany (to Karlsruhe) and Southerner of which in particular in Bavaria with Würzburg.
In 1815, Salins said of Montfort returns to Frankfurt until 1821. Vegetating a few years in Paris, it leaves to Nantes where it dies in 1839.
