Geography
Fegersheim is located at 12 km in the South of Strasbourg, between the Andlau, the Scheer and the Ill.
History
The discovery of tombs dating from IIIe century before J-C, attests an occupation of the site as of the Celtic time. Vergersheim is quoted for the first time at XIe century, the convent of the bénédictines of Eschau having an important property there. Fegersheim and its Ohnheim appendix belong successively like episcopal stronghold to Ochsenstein, Hanau-Lichtenberg and Rathsamhausen which are lords until the Revolution.
