Melchior Wathelet is a Belgian politician , born the Small-Rechain on March 6th, 1949 with . He is member of the cdH. He in particular was Minister-president of the Walloon region of 1985 with 1988 and Minister for Justice of 1988 with 1995.

He teaches the European institutional right to the Université of Liege.
