Nick Fury

Nicholas Joseph Fury is a character of fiction of Marvel Comics, it was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Nick Fury appeared for the first time in Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos (May 1963) (as a commando) and alone in Strange Bruise n° 135 (1965).

The character of Fury

In the beginning, Fury is the chief of a commando of the Second world war composed of Dum Dum Dogan and other soldiers linked to kill the baron Nazi Von Strucker. It is one-eyed and carries a stringcourse on the left eye.

Two years later, after the stop of the series and the complaints of the fans, Stan Lee decides to create a series entirely dedicated to Fury, associated with Jack Kirby, with which it had already created Hulk, X-Men and the Avengers.

As for Captain America, Nick Fury drank a potion which slows down its old age. Since, the latter often make team together. At the end of the SHIELD, Nick Fury left to settle on an island with his wife, but it will again be disturbed to fight against of the extraterrestrial ones which formerly met Von Strucker and, while having taken contact with them, their transmitted his madness.

Since, it is become again chief of a new SHIELD, it deals with all the businesses concerning terrorism and the supermen. In the saga Enemy of State (of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr), it deals with Wolverine which underwent a washing of brain by the Hand and HYDRA and which kills everyone being opposed with the Hand.

Nick Fury however turned the back on the authority. At the time of the saga " Wars" secrecy; , it tries to convince the government to act against Latvérie when it discovers that this one finances the American armament super-unpleasant. In front of the refusal of the president and staff, it recruits semi-officially Spiderman, Daredevil, Captain America, Luke Cage, Wolverine and the Black Widow which destroy Castle Doom and, seems he, it responsible for this financing. Nick Fury then decides to wash the brain of the heroes whom it engaged and to keep the secret business. One year later, however, the heroes present in Latvérie undergo repeated attacks. The business explodes at the great day and Nick Fury must leave the SHIELD for an unknown retirement of all. Maria Hill then replaces it with the head of the SHIELD. In the same amount of time, it contributes to the exile of Hulk in space - under the control of Illuminati - when this last destroys Las Vegas. It is however possible that this Nick Fury was Life Model Decoy or LMD.

More recently, Nick Fury left its reserve to support Spiderwoman, which he had persuaded to play the role of double agent within the HYDRA on behalf of the SHIELD. Fury being with the SHIELD to only know the double role of Jessica Drew, her departure places heroin in a precarious situation. It appears then to explain to the New Avengers the agreements made with it - This justification will however not attenuate the suspicion of Tony Stark, who will make stop Drew at the beginning of War Civilian. At the time of this same crossover, Fury only provides to Captain America a known shelter of him, which will be used as HQ with the forces carried out by this hero.
