Nichita Stănescu
Nichita (Hristea) Stănescu (March 31st 1933, Ploieşti - December 13rd 1983, Bucureşti) is a Rumanian writer.
Biography
Resulting on the paternal side from a family of tradesmen and craftsmen, and maternal side of the Russian nobility, Nichita Stănescu makes studies of philology to the faculty of Bucharest until 1957. Then it makes its beginnings the same year in the review “Tribuna” and the “Gazette Literary” . From this moment there and until its death, it will write many collections of poetries and tests which will be represented to appear abroad, to start with the Czechoslovakia and the Yugoslavia.
Its work will be seen rewarded by the quadruple obtaining for the price for the Linked Writers, as well as the international prize Johann Gottfried von Herder and the price Mihai Eminescu of the Academy. It misses little the Nobel Prize in 1980.
In 1981 it undergoes a first epathic crisis. These crises will continue to overpower it until its death, in spite of optimism, resistance and the vitality of which it shows by hiding the signs its disease. March 31st, 1983, for its fifty years, everyone of arts and the literature celebrates the birthday of the poet. After a voyage in Yugoslavia where it undergoes a crisis of an extreme violence, it is brought back urgently to Bucharest where it dies in the night of December 13rd.
Family
Father: Nicolae H. Stănescu - born on April 19th, 1908. Paternal side, Nichita Stănescu is resulting from a solid family of craftsmen and Rumanian tradesmen of country origin come to Ploieşti at the beginning of the 19th century.
Mother: Tatiana Cereaciuchin - born on February 16th, 1910 with Voronej (Russia) from a family from noble condition, took refuge then in Romania. It settles with Ploieşti where it will meet Nicolae Stănescu which it marries on December 6th, 1931.

1963 : First steps beyond the borders as a poet, in Czechoslovakia.

1964 : Publication at the beginning of year of “O viziune has sentimentelor” , a book with which the poet receives the price of the Plain Writers.

1965 : Publication in March of the collection of poetry “Dreptul the timp” , of 84 pages.

1966 : Publish only eleven “Elegii” , totality will appear the following year in premium of its anthology “Esparto” .

1967 : Three books are printed, “vertical Rosul” , the anthology “Esparto” , and the collection of poetry “Oul şi will sfera” . Its poems express a melancholy " dorée" , and a state of regret.

1969: Publication “Necuvintele” , 216 pages of poetry in this book which receives the price of the Plain Writers. Moreover appears the collection of poetry “a pamânt numit Romania” , of 150 pages. It is named editor association associated in the review “Luceafărul” .

1970 : Publication in Yugoslavia of two translated books, “Belgradul in cinci prieteni” , bilingual edition of new poetry and “Nereci” .

1972 : Publication of two collections of poetry, “Belgradul in cinci prietni” and “Măretia Frigului” .

1975 : It obtains last once the price of the Plain Writers and is allotted to him the international prize Johann Gottfried von Herder. It publishes its fourth anthology, “Starea poeziei” , in the popular collection “Library for all” . He is the commentator public of the literary Romania. He settles in his last residence, n° 9 rue Piata Amzei.

1977 : March 4th, while trying in vain to save his friend Nicolae Stefănescu, it is wounded in the collapse of a wall. After the shock the left part of its body is paralyzed, which will leave him traces after cure.

1978 : Publication of the collection of poetry “Spiced Magna” , of 216 pages, with which it receives the price Mihai Eminescu of the Academy.

1979 : It begins the collection of poetry “Operates imperfecte” .

1980 : On the proposal of the Swedish Academy, the poet is candidate of the Nobel Prize at the sides of Elitis, Frisch, Senghor and Borges. The price is given to the Greek poet Odysseas Elitis.

1981 : In August it undergoes a first hepatic crisis. These crises will continue and in autumn the poet is interned at the Fundeni hospital.

1982 : In February the father of the poet dies. The collection “Norduri” which carries the subtitle “Requiem for the death of the father” is a selection of all that he wrote in his last publications. In July it Marie with her last wife, Todoriţa Tărâţă (Gilded). It leaves on a journey in Macedonia and Yugoslavia before fracturing the left foot in November, which will immobilize it at his place for six months.

1983 : It hides all the signs of its disease and posts an optimism which leaves the doctors amazed in front of a so extraordinary resistance and a vitality. March 31st, for the 50 years of the poet takes place a national festival in the world of arts and the literature. Its translations are defended beyond the borders, in a special way in Yugoslavia where it will have a very serious crisis, requiring the intervention of doctors. It returns by train, with difficulty, with Bucharest with Dora its young news marries late in the evening of December 12th. After midnight the pains in the zone of the liver have terrible and it is taken along urgently to the hospital where the crises become extremely violent; the poet dies out with 2:10.
Writing
The writing of Nichita Stănescu is characterized by a research of pure poetry, beauty of the words, harmoniously assembled. Its work treats the topics of the love, the life, nature, and is traversed many metaphors. Or rather only one: nature is the metaphor of any thing; all is present in nature: birth, cruelty, the beauty, life, death… From where its omnipresence in the work of the poet, who lets it be expressed in his worms.
