The Nicaraguan córdoba is the official currency of the Nicaragua. The currency was introduced the May 20th 1912, in order to replace the Nicaraguan Peso.

The Nicaraguan córdoba has as a code NIC according to the list of the Codes of the currencies.

Córdoba Oro (Córdoba D´Or) was created in the beginnings of l´années 1990 By Francisco Mayorga, which since was called Panchito Oro, the name was presented to the beginning of the 90´s, whereas the country was by the change of the political environment, currently it there coins metal of 0.05,0.10,0.25,0.50,1,5 córdobas and Billets of 10,20,50,100,500 Córdobas.
