Nicéphore Bryenne , (Greek: Νικηφόρος Βυρέννιος ) (* 1062 with Orestias (Adrianople), † 1137 with Constantinople), wire of the general Nicéphore Bryenne.

It was in favor near Alexis {{Ier}} Comnène, which gave him his/her daughter Anne in marriage with the title of césar. However, Bryenne could not be made appoint its emperor. Having tried to take again Antioche on Latin, it failed and returned to die in Constantinople in 1137.

Publications

He wrote the Histoire of the emperors Isaac Comnène, Constantin Ducas, Romain Diogène and Michel Parapinace (of 1057 with 1071), Paris, 1661 (in the Byzantine Collection ).
