Nibelungen

The Nibelungen , whose name means those of the darkness , or perhaps those of the world of in bottom are the dwarf S of the Germanic legends. They had great richnesses which they drew from their mines in lower part of the mountains, where they lived.
Nibelungen had as a king Nibelung. This legend of the 13th century which recites the exploits of the knight Siegfried, inspired Richard Wagner and its tetralogy known under the name of the Ring of Nibelung .
The medieval epopee is told in the Song of Nibelungen .
