Ngandu

Ngandu or Gandu was one posts State independent of Congo on left bank of the Lomami (current territory of Lubefu). It was created by Ngongo Lutete in 1892, and was transferred by the second lieutenant Henri De Cort ( Bwana Toto ), with Katako-Kombe in 1904.

The station was the principal relay between on the one hand Lusambo and on the other hand Kasongo and Nyangwe.

A battle during the Révolte of Batetela de Luluabourg proceeded with proximlity of the locality October 18th 1895.

Ngongo Lutete there was in addition summarily considered and carried out the September 15th 1893.
