Ngalawa
The ngalawa is a type of Pirog to beam at bottom monoxyle of use in East Africa (Tanzania, the Comoros, Kenya…) whose two beams are boards forming a kind of Water skiing; their action is thus dynamic, the force of rectification being proportional to the speed. This single provision can be regarded as the ancestor of the Hydroptère.
