Born the September 18th 1969 with Reduction with the Morocco, Nezha Bidouane is a Moroccan athlete specialist in the 400 m hedges.

She was world champion in 1997 and 2001. Like the major part of the children of the popular quarters Yacoub El Mansour in Rabat, Nezha was fascinated by the practice of the sport in this stronghold of the stars of the capital. Exit of a modest family, Nezha Bidouane cherished the same dream and was ready with all to sacrifice to become one day a famous person, her agility and its natural flexibility will help the determined young girl who she was, always smiling, to draw the attention of the trainers of a school of gymnastics that she will join with the assistance and the support of Hajja fatima her mom.

But the destiny will decide some differently in 1986 since his/her colleagues of college will attract it towards a test of prospection to the sports complex Prince Moulay Abdallah to undergo tests with an aim of being recruited like young athlete hope. Thus the same girls and in particular Miss Mounkabi Bouchra also will lead it with them to sign a license of athlete in Olypmique Marocain, club which she never left.

Career

Dominating all national competitions, it joined in 1991 the national school of athletics directed at the time by AKKA SAMSAM LAHCEN, managing director and chief technical officer of the Federation and AZIZ DAOUDA, chief technical officer of the school. It will be entrusted to Sindaoui Mohamed as trainer that Ci goes in fact being its second trainer after Said Belamgharia which had guided to him its first steps within the framework of the school pilot of athletics of the sports complex Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat created and supervised by Fatima Elfaquir, first champion of Moroccan Africa on 400 meters hedges. Thus Nezha will start a career which goes gradually professionnaliser. After its first titles as juniors and its first national and Arab records in this category, on recommendation of Sahere Abdelaziz which will become her husband, Nezha will join Aziz Daouda as trainer and will specialize definitively on 400 meters hedges. It left it on council of Abderrahmane Medkouri at the beginning of 1993 to join Nawal Elmoutawakel in Casablanca but this rupture did not last that a few Nezha months quickly made return to Rabat to join that which will involve it until the end of its career.

After multiple titles on the level Mediterranean, Arab and African and a few three years on the international circuit and the first surgical operation on the tendon of Achilles, Nezha will gain its first world title in Athens where she takes down the gold medal of the 400 meters hedges to the championships of the world in 1997. At the time of the world cup of athletics in 1998 in Johannesbourg it was with some hundredths of the world records of the 400 m hedges with a 52 second old stopwatch 90/100 establishing a new record of this competition no matter what having run with the 8th corridor. In 1999 in Seville it is private world title with the profit of cuban Pernia. Decided between with the photo finish with this one day rival, Nezha is persuaded to be the first, is consolidated in that by an image of photo finish of left which it keeps preciously, reserves then presented by the Moroccan delegation not having been able to change the things. In 2000 in Sydney with the Olympic Games, whereas it holds the first world performance, it at the last minute finishes only third handicapped by an health issue. It only did not leave given since in 2001 in Edmonton, Nezha will put everyone of agreement by gaining the world title again confirming that it was well the best specialist in the test of 1997 to 2001 since after this second title it decides to put an end to her career and to give rise to that which will be its first Yacine Whose first name will have been chosen by Its Mohammed VI Majesty, King of Morocco. Nezha will have enormously brought the 400 meter hedges proof to the plan of the technique to be considered one of best the technician of this test, as it brought on the tactical level to have been that which as well as possible made a success of the distribution of the effort at all the distance. A true academic case. In September 2007, the British newspaper Times the class among the 100 best athletes of the championships of the World.
