Newtype

Newtype is a magazine Japan board with monthly publication which treats mainly topicality of the Mangas and Animes, and more recently of Tokusatsu (science fiction) and of video games. Launched by the publisher Kadokawa shoten on March 8th, 1985, it since is published all the 10 of each month in Japan.

Since November 2002, an American version of monthly magazine exists also, named Newtype the USA , as well as a Korean version .

The word Newtype is resulting from the saga Mobile Follows Gundam, where it indicates an human being with the capacity artificially increased. It is extremely probable which the magazine is thus named in homage to the saga of animate most known in Japan.

In addition to the topicality, Newtype also contains prépublications of mangas, whose chapter is published each month. Short stories are also published, from which the subject is often derived from successful series, as it was the case around inevitable Mobile Follows Gundam.

The magazine also contains the schedules of diffusion of animate and tokusatsu, accompanied by a summary, as well as notes left by the Net surfers on the program during the previous month. A section of the magazine is devoted to the publication of original illustrations of the authors of the series and mangas in vogue, as well as councils to draw way manga with its computer.
