The Newtopia quintet is a formation Jazz

Newtopia Quintet is a formation of jazz created in 2005 per the saxophonist and type-setter Raphaël Imbert, director of the company Nine Spirit, and which seals the profitable collaboration of this one with the pianist Yaron Hermann. The rhythmic one consists of young Marseillais exit of the class of Jazz of the CNR of Marseilles, oldest of Europe. This formation as of its creation gained the Grand Prix of orchestra of the national competition of Jazz of Defense, like two prices of soloists. The newtopia quintet was transformed recently into Newtopia Project by accommodating large the saxophonsite South-African Zim Ngqawana for festival MIMI, Banlieue Bleues and the jazz festival of the five continents. An album of Newtopia project is envisaged in November 2006 on the label Zig Zag territories (Harmonia Mundi distribution) where one will be able to hear the " Élégiaque" continuation; of Raphaël Imbert, long composition devoted to the memory of the close beings too early disappeared.
