Newspaper of the economists

The Journal of the economists was a French economic review of which defended of the liberal ideas and free-traders.

Founded in December 1841 with for subtitle “re-examined monthly of the political economy, of the agricultural questions, manufacturing and commercial”, it had as directors of the prestigious economists, such as Jean-Gustave Courcelle-Seneuil, Gustave de Molinari of 1881 with 1909 and Yves Guyot of 1910 with 1913. It ceased appearing with the war in March - April 1940.

Among the contributors of the newspaper, one finds the fine flower of the economists of the time: Leon Walras, Frederic Bastiat and Vilfredo Pareto.
