News agency of the Islamic Republic

The News agency of the Islamic Republic or IRNA , of its English name with international value in Islamic Republic News Agency , is one of the national agencies of press in Iran. It is under the authority of the ministry for the Culture and the Islamic Orientation.

The agency was founded in 1934 by the Iranian Ministry for Foreign Affairs under the name of Pars Agency . In December 1981, after the Iranian Revolution, a decree of the Majles (Parliament) re-elects the agency in Agence presses of the Islamic Republic .
