Newcastlemax corresponds to a class of Vraquier S having the necessary size to make stopover with the port of Newcastle in Australia. This port is the largest exporter of coal in the world, with 70 million tons per annum.

The greatest acceptable width with this port is of 47 m overall, which limits the Port into heavy average to approximately 180  000 tons, is a size Capesize .
