New Times

new Times is an association law of 1901, created on October 11th, 2003, animated by Christian Paul, Jacques Rigaudiat, Eric Loiselet, Jerome Saddier and Pascale Boistard and close to the French Socialist party.

The purpose of association is to make live and to animate a network of socialist militants (close at the origin to the Nouveau Socialist party and, since the Socialist congress of Mans, the current Rénover now) eager to contribute to ideological rebuilding of the French Socialist party. It is a foundation which aims to weigh on the socialist project and in particular to compete with the Fondation Jean-Jaurès.

For that, she seeks to make live a permanent debate through an Internet site, the organization of conferences and publications.

Structure

Association is directed by a board of directors of 43 members, elected for one year by the general meeting.

The board of directors elects in its center an office of five people, composed of a president, an acting general, a treasurer and two members. The president, legal representative of association, are entitled to represent it in justice. The acting general is charged, under the control of the office, to apply resolutions of the Board of Directors.
