New Nantes building sites of Chantenay
The Nouveaux Nantes Building sites of Chantenay is the name of old a Shipyard located at Chantenay (today district of Nantes), near the Chantiers Dubigeon. It was created the April 27th 1899.
Production
The Admiral Courbet , the first ship has to be built there, was launched the April 25th 1900. The Armen , the last ship, was launched in March 1902.The law of the April 7th 1902 supporting the construction of the vapors and the small sailing ships (to 1.000 barrels), marked the stop of the construction of the sailing ships and the end of this building site, which builds about thirty ships in approximately 2 years.
