New Frontier
The New Frontier was a Hôtel - casino located on the Strip of Las Vegas. There remained open without interruption since the October 30th 1942 until its permanent closure the July 16th 2007. It was the second complex hotel-casino to be opened on the Strip .
It was located between the Stardust and the Treasure Island and opposite the Wynn Las Vegas. It sheltered a famous country-western bar: Gilley' S . One found there also Orchard Cafe , Phil' S Angus Steakhouse and Margarita' S Cantina .
Its permanent closure then its destruction (planned for 2008) will make it possible to leave the free ground for the construction of a new hotel which will have as a subject the Plaza Hotel of New York.
