New France is a test of Emmanuel Todd published in 1988 with the editions of the Threshold.

This test, preparatory to the Invention of Europe , presents a detailed study of the various family structures which exist in France. Todd exposes then how these structures influenced the development of France and the various revolutions which it crossed: cultural, political, industrial, and how they continue to influence the structure of the contemporary political ideologies.
