New Border

The term Nouvelle Border ( New Frontier in English) was used by the future American president democratic John Fitzgerald Kennedy in a speech of nomination like candidate to the presidential election, the July 15th 1960 with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

But I say to you that we are in front of the New Border, that we want it or not. Beyond this border, extend the unexplored fields from science and space, the unsolved problems of peace and war, from the pockets of ignorance and prejudices not yet reduced, contradiction between poverty and the overproduction.

According to the program of Kennedy, it is necessary to stimulate the economy, to provide an international assistance, to provide more means to the National defense, to develop NASA and to fight against the segregation of the black populations.

Among the measurements promised according to this New Border and taken during its mandate appear: the Peace Body, the Alliance for Progress, the Treated prohibition partial of the nuclear tests and the Program Apollo.

The policy of the New Border fits in the Progressisme in order to avoid with the countries being in a situation of Isolationnisme.
