Nevado Sajama
The Nevado Sajama is more the high summit of Bolivia. This Volcan culminates to 6542 m close to the border Chile enne. It is about a Stratovolcan.
Its name comes to him from the words Aymara chak xaña which mean western . It is a Stratovolcan located in the Département of Oruro. Not only it is the highest top of the country, but it lodges also the highest forest of the world, called Bosque of mow Queñuas . It is within the National park Sajama.
The structure of the peak is complex and its first rise took place the October 4th 1939 by the Austrians Wilfrid Kühm and Josef Prem.
One does not know with certainty the date of his last eruption. One however regards it as an active volcano.
