A neurohormone is a chemical messenger produced by a Neuron and which acts like a Hormone.
It is created and released exactly like a Neurotransmetteur, but where the neurotransmetor operates a neuron at a very reduced distance (the Synapse), the neurohormone acts remotely, like a hormone, on the whole of the cells which can be affected.
