Nestor (monk)

Nestor , born in 1056, died in 1106 was monk of the Monastère of the Caves of Kiev.

Its principal work is the Chronique past years which reports the first times of the Rus' of Kiev, until the contemporary time with the Nestor monk. Nevertheless the absence of other sources, the party taken of the chronicle in favor of the Varègue S, the distance compared to the fact, even the later final improvements make its exploitation difficult.
