Nero Burning ROMANIAN

Nero Burning ROMANIAN is a Logiciel of engraving of CD and known enough DVD for the operating systems Microsoft Windows and Linux. It is produced by the German firm Nero AG, known in the past under the name of Ahead Software. This software is often provided with the engravers of CD and DVD at the time of their purchase.

Name

Its name is a Pun which has a double significance. The first burning ROMANIAN English who refers to the engraving of ROMANIAN, therefore of CD and DVD, second Nero Burning ROMANIAN refers to the Roman Emperor Néron which one says that it put fire at Rome (the pun is more obvious in German because the name of the city does not take a “E”: Romanian ). This thus explains the icon software which represents the Colisée on fire with CD inside.

Anecdote

The presence of Colisée on the icon of the city on fire is an anachronism. Indeed, the large fire of Rome burst in 64 a. J. - C., during the reign of Néron, whereas Colisée was built between the Seventies a. J. - C. and 80 a. J. - C.

Capacities

Nero can treat many formats of image CD, those of the standard ISO 9660 form part of it. More particularly, Nero proposes its own format of image CD owner: format NRG. Since the 6.6.0.13 version, it is also possible to engrave the Disque Blu-ray and the LightScribe S.

Also note that if the catch in hand, user-friendliness and esthetics are with go, Nero is not planned for the protected CD copy and the attempt at engraving of the latter fails almost all the time. The rival software, like CloneCD (and CloneDVD) or BlindWrite or Alcohol 120%, is, them, able to circumvent certain protections.

Evolution

Since its creation, the software became extensive with the wire of time. Indeed since its version 6, the software is accompanied by several other subroutines like Nero Wave Editor (to work the audio files), Nero Image Drive (for the virtual CD assembly), Nero BackItUp (for the safeguard of filesystem or entire discs), Nero Recode (for the safeguard of uncoded DVD and conversions of the format MPEG-4). Since version 7, Nero Vision (tool for engraving of DVD) is also present in the pack premium.

Nero Burning ROMANIAN is in fact become the principal element of a continuation of software indicated by the name Nero, however this same is often used to indicate Nero Burning ROMANIAN. The continuation contains amongst other things a coder/decoder MP3 to engrave those on audio CD or CD-MP3. This continuation also makes it possible to copy a disc, to create its Image disc and to emulate it of it, if however the full version is had.

NeroLinux

Since March 2005, an adaptation (or bearing) of the software for Linux is available under the name of NeroLINUX . Like the Windows version, it is paying. However, a version of evaluation is also downloadable. It offers the majority of the functionalities of its equivalent version under Windows and uses GTK+.
