Nereu de Oliveira Ramos

Nereu de Oliveira Ramos (Lages, September 3rd 1888 - São Jose back Pinhais, June 16th 1958) was a lawyer and a Brazilian politician . It occupied the position of president of the Republic during two months and 21 days, of the November 11th 1955 with the January 31st 1956.

Graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo in 1909, it is elected appointed in the State of Santa Catarina in 1911. In 1927, he is the founder and the first president of the Liberal party of Santa Catarina. Of 1935 with 1945, it also assumes the load of governor of the State de Santa Catarina.

He dies in a plane crash with São Jose back Pinhais, on June 16th, 1958. In this same accident, the governor of the State de Santa Catarina Jorge Lacerda and the federal deputy Leoberto Laus Leal found also death.
