Neretto di Bairo

The neretto di Bairo is a very old Cépage Italian of black grapes.

Origin and geographical distribution

It comes from the north of Italy.

It is classified auxiliary type of vine in DOC. Pinerolese rosso. It is classified recommended in Province of Turin in the area of the Piedmont and it is authorized in Province of Verceil. In 1998, it covered 131 ha.

  • End of the young duveteux branch blanchâtre.
  • Young aranéeux, green sheets clearly.
  • adult Sheets, with 5 lobes with major higher sines out of U opened, a petiolar sine out of U largely open, a pubescent limb.

Farming aptitudes

Maturity is of third late time: 35 days after the chasselas.

Technological potential

The bunches and the bays are of large size. The bunch is conical, winged and myennemet compact.
