Nephtys
Nephtys , Nebt-Het or Neb-Hout which means " the lady (or mistress) of the castle " , of the Egyptian Mythologie is a goddess; it is the protective goddess of died while taking care on the sarcophagus, goddess funerary at the sides of Hâpi, with which it is associated to protect the Vase canope containing the lungs from the late one. It is represented like a capped woman of two Hiéroglyphe S being used to write its name. Its principal sanctuary is with Héliopolis where it belongs to large the Ennéade. She is also venerated, with the time gréco-Roman, Kom Mer (or Kômir, High-Egypt), associated with Anoukis (Anqet as an Egyptian). In the temple of Edfou, a festival, “the heart of Nephtys is delighted” was celebrated the 28e day of the month Pharmouti of the season Peret.
It is the girl of Geb and Nout, sister of Isis, Osiris and Seth of which it is also the wife. With Isis, which it helped to reconstitute the dismembered body of her husband Osiris, it was one of both " Milan s" or birds hurleurs, which seemed to emit funeral lamentations. She is sometimes regarded as the amante of Osiris of which she would have had Anubis.
