The Île Nelson (or Leipzig Island, Islands of Nelson, Island of O' Cain, Strachans Island) belongs to the Shetland Islands of the South, in the Antarctic. It is located at the south-west of the island of the King George from which it is separated by the Détroit Fildes. Towards south-west, the Détroit Nelson separates it from the island Robert. The Nelson island measures 19 km of is in west, and approximately 11 km of north in the south. It is covered with ice in quasi-permanence. On its littoral are detached: Punta Armonía and Caleta Armonía in the west, Punta Ross in south-west and Punta Duthoit in south-east.
On the northern coast of the island, close to the Fildes strait, is located the Czech base " ECO Nelson ".
