Neiva is a town of Colombia, populated approximately 395.000 inhabitants, capital of the department of Huila.

Geography

Neiva is located in the valley of Magdalena, on its Eastern bank.

Neiva is bordering:

  • in north, of the municipalities of Aipe and Tello,
  • in the east, of the department of Meta (Colombia),
  • in the south, of the municipalities of Will rivet, Palermo and Santa María,
  • in the west, of the department of Tolima.

Demography

Neiva knows a fast population growth and more than multiplied by ten its population since of beginning of the Années 1950.

The municipality is subdivided in 10 “communes” (in Spanish: be comunas) and 4 districts with Spanish particular status (: be corregimientos).

She groups the following districts: Aeropuerto, Alvaro Sánchez Silva, Santa Lucía, Los Cámbulos, Santa Clara, Los Molinos, Tired Granjas, Tired Villas, Bosques de Tamarindo, Santa Mónica, Barrio Municipal, El Cortijo, Alamos Norte, Los Pinos, Gualanday, Los the Andes, Milena Villa, Cecilia Villa.
  • Common (3) known as “Comuna between Rios”. It groups the following districts: San Vicente of Paul, Caracolí, El Lago, Broke del Magdalena, Guillermo Plazas Alcid, Cordialidad, Reinaldo Matiz, Rojas Trujillo, Las Delicias, Villa Patricia, Sevilla, Quirinal, Jose Eustacio Rivera, Tenerife, Santa Librada, Campo Nuñez, Chapinero, Profesionales.
  • Common (4) known as “Central Comuna”. It groups the following districts: Diego de Ospina, El Estadio, Los Almendros, San Pedro, El Centro, Los Mártires, Bonilla, Altico, Modelo there San Jose.
  • Common (5) known as “Eastern Comuna”. It groups the following districts: Libertad, Primero of Mayo, Loma of Cruz, Kennedy, Monserrate, Veinte de Julio, Colina, Siete de Agosto, El Faro, San Antonio, El Jardín, Independenica, EL Carmen, El Vergel, Orquídea, Buganviles, Los Guaduales, El Jordán.
  • Common (6) known as “Comuna On”. She groups the following districts: Miramar, Minuto de Dios On, Emaya, Tuquila, Andalucia, San Francisco, Esperanza, Santa Isabel, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Galán, Sinaí, Nazarenos, Pozo Azul, Tired Lajas, Lom Linda, Arismendí Mora, Timanco, Bellavista, Manzanares, El Limonar, Terminal of Transports, Zona Industrial On.
  • Common (7) known as “Eastern Central Comuna”. It groups the following districts: San Martín, Ventilador, Obrero, Calixto Leiva, Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, Buena Vista, Gaitana, Prado Viola, mow Broke, Floresta, Ipanema, Casa Blanca, Altamira, Casa of Campo.
  • Common (8) known as “Comuna Comuna On Eastern”.
