Negură Bunget
Negură Bunget is a group of Black/Folk /Pagan metal (sometimes qualified black atmospheric or melody metal) originating in Transylvania. This name comes from former Rumanian, in whom Negură wants to say " fog, misty/brumeuse" , and Bunget " forêt".
Identity and philosophy
Advancing a new type of approach of the Black metal, Negură Bunget wants to express Transylvanian ancestral mysticism musicalement, the harmony that there was formerly between the man and his medium. The topics approached by the songs vary between the worships and rites pre-Christians which have inhabited this area intra-carpathic since centuries (and which remains in certain cases even today), and from the reflections on Nature, Cosmos, Universe…
Also, thanks to a sober and rustic sonority and with the words (sometimes " criées" , sometimes whispered) elaborate as a Former Roumanian, Negură Bunget arrives has to recreate this single, quiet and mystical atmosphere (even occults) Transylvanian forests.
Originating in Timişoara (where it was founded in 1995), the group is now established in Germany.
