Takeshi Kitano () (born the January 18th 1947 with Tōkyō with the Japan), is a Réalisateur, Acteur (under the name Beat Takeshi ), TV host, painter, Chanteur and Comique Japan board.
Biography
It leaves the Université Meiji where it followed studies of engineering. It finds a work like boy of elevator in a nightclub of the district of Asakusa in Tōkyō, which acted as theater of sketches comic and striptease. One day, it replaces with the comic foot raised absent.
The comic one
In 1972, with his/her friend Kiyoshi Kaneko, it founds Two Beats (Happy Takeshi and Beat Kiyoshi) and made Manzai (of the sketch satirists based on a verbal improvisation), Beat Takeshi was born. Its performance is worth to him to be approximate by a producer of television which proposes to him to be a presenter of an emission. It accepts and becomes the organizer that Japan knows.
It is disrespectful and large comic in its emissions, which it connects several times per week (in 2005 it produced and presented seven of them).
The dramatic actor
In 1983, it will play in another register for Nagisa Oshima. The realizer of the Empire of the directions (1976), engages it for his film Furyo , in the role of a sadistic sergeant of a camp of prisoner of war during the Second world war.
The realizer
One proposes to him to replace with the realization, Kinji Fukasaku in 1989, in Violent COP , where Kitano holds the first role. It alters the scenario considerably and transforms its character into solitary anti-hero and with counter-current.
It is in this role of realizer and dramatic actor that the foreigners know mainly Kitano.
In August 1994, a serious motorbike accident sends it to the hospital where it undergoes a surgical big operation there to find the use on a side of its body which was paralyzed. It is the origin of the characteristic nervous twitches which one knows to him. Since, Kitano admitted that the “accident” was actually an suicide attempt.
Known fact of the film enthusiasts, Kitano realizer was largely inspired (like so many of other American, for example Quentin Tarantino) by the Master of the yakuza eiga (cinema concerning the underworld Japanese woman) modern Kinji Fukasaku, to which it pay homage in one of its masterpieces, Sonatine, melody mortal (1993).
Kitano often worked with Joe Hisaishi which composed the majority of its film musics until in 2002 and the film Dolls where they separated.
Happy Takeshi and Takeshi Kitano
The career of Takeshi Kitano balances between its two characters. It holds Takeshi Kitano with its roles of “serious” man (like the realizer, but also some of its roles of actor, for example for Furyo and Tokyo Eyes ) and Happy Takeshi with the actor, the comic one and also the organizer of television programs. It is besides within this framework that it has creates the television game Takeshi' S Castle , diffused on Tokyo Broadcasting System of 1986 to 1989, and later on in other countries.
Inspirations and influences
Sonatine, melody mortal was very largely inspired by the Guerre of the gangs with Okinawa carried out in 1971 by Kinji Fukasaku.
In addition to the virtually identical screen (a chief of bold gang deposed and betrayed by its chief is banished metropolis and exiles himself on Okinawa in company of its lieutenants), and the brutality of the scenes of combat to the gun or naked hand (Okinawa is the cradle of the Karaté and the Nunchaku), one detects one striking resemblance between the chief of gang of each film (impeccable costume and black glasses of rigor, proud spirit and of the old school, readily critical towards the collapsing caïds), just as between the two idylles transitory but sincere which the hero saw.
What over all does not leave any doubt as for the inspiration of Kitano by Fukasaku, it is the song in dialect of Okinawa, accompanied with the Shamisen (a traditional cord musical instrument) which is repeated throughout two films. Rather than a Plagiat, it acts probably here more than one homage that Kitano returns in Fukasaku because do not forget that the first experiment of Takeshi as a realizer is due to the desistance in extremis from Kinji Fukasaku on Violent COP .
In Sonatine, melody mortal , the song is interpreted in traditional costumes as in film of Fukasaku, but in film of Kitano, she “is also parodied there”, by Susumu Terajima and her accomplice of Okinawa which disguise themselves one evening of trouble and drink on the beach… The derision of a scene known as serious or tragic is a constant in the work of Kitano.
Anecdotes
Takeshi Kitano was also tested with the song, it left several albums of which some had a small business success in Japan. It also carries out Peinture S, present in great number in its film Hana-Bi .
Although speaking perfectly English, it prefers to give its talks in Japanese.
Its play of actor is characterized by almost non-existent expressions of the face. He explained the reason of it while declaring: in my films and those of the others, I in general try to inhibit my facial expressions so that the spectator, according to the situation, feels his own emotions through my character .
