Negotiating out of carbon
A carbon trader, is a financial actor compromising of credit-carbon. The Credit-carbon are financial instruments generated by the implementation of Reduction projects of emissions of Gaz to greenhouse effect, by the use of green Technologies, or by measurements of Energy efficiency. The negotiation can be done on different Marché from existing carbon in Europe, in America or elsewhere (Japan, Australia).
According to the the World Bank, the value of the Marché of carbon was of 11 billion dollars US in 2005, the first year of negotiation. The market was to evaluate to 30 billion dollars for the year 2006, and is estimated at 60 billion dollars for the year 2007. The market of carbon is one of the sector knowing more the strong growth. From here 2020, the worldwide market of carbon could reach 565 billion dollars US according to Point Carbon, a firm of recerche specialized of Oslo.
Climate changes
According to GIEC, the carbon emissions, coming mainly from the fossil energies, must be stabilized from here 2015 and then reduced. Or else, the consequences could be disastrous, according to the president of the GIEC, Rajendra KUMAR Pachauri. Already, in the current location, since 2020, between 75 and 250 million people in Africa will suffer from water shortage, the inhabitants of the mégapoles of Asia will be threatened by the floods of the rivers and from the rise of the sea level, many species will disappear in Europe, and America will know torrid heatwaves. The conference of UNO organized in Bali, in Indonesia from December 3rd to 14th 2007, must launch the negotiations for a new international agreement on the reduction of gases to greenhouse effect, to replace the protocol of Kyoto, expiring in 2012.
