Nechtan (Celtic god)

Nechtan , in the Irish Celtic Mythology, is a sovereign god of the Other World (Sidh). It is one of the brothers of the Dagda, the most important god of the hierarchy, after Lug and the son of Collbran. It has Segais, source magic in which Boann bathes to wash itself of a guilty relation. It loses there an arm, a leg and an eye, then becomes the river Boyne. According to the accounts, Nechtan is his/her father or her husband. Segais is kept by three wine waiters, Flesc, Lâm and Luam because nine magic hazel trees give fruits of knowledge and wisdom. It is possible that it is a representation of Nuada
