Nebula of the Tarantula
The nebulous of the Tarantula (also known under the name of 30 Doradus , or NGC 2070 ) is a Région HII in the Grand Cloud of Magellan. Initially, it was thought that it was about a star, but in 1751 Nicolas Louis de Lacaille identified its nebulous nature.
The nebula of the Tarantula has a magnitude connect of 8. Considering its distance of approximately 160.000 light-years, it is an extremely luminous object. In fact, it is the area of starburst most active known in the local Groupe of galaxies. Nebula resides on the edge of the Large Cloud of Magellan, where dynamic pressure stripping, and compression to result probable interstellar environment from this, is with a maximum. In its center, an extremely compact whole of hot stars produces the major part of the energy which makes nebula visible.
The Supernova nearest since the invention to the telescope, the supernova 1987A, occurred in the peripheries of the nebula of Tarantule.
