Neapolitan Mâtin
The ( Mastino Napoletano ) is a Race of dogs of Italian origin . Particularly massive, it weighs up to 70 kilos for 65 cm height.
History
Since glosses, Mâtins of Naples live in the south of the Italian peninsula. These imposing molosses raises profiles very little débonnaires: they are terribly wild. The Romans used them in the circus games. They were, says one, employed by hordes of Asian barbarians as dogs of attack during the wars of conquest. One finds them a little later in their history, guards of bulls and buffaloes, then watchdogs and of police force.
