The village of Ndangane-Sambou is a little in the West of the asphalt road coming from Dakar. Thanks to the gifts, a mosque was built there a few years ago.
For a few years, this quiet small town has become a flourishing tourist center. Several hotels and campings of local style offer their services to it.
Ndangane often constitutes the starting point for excursions in Pirog, in particular on the bolongs towards the island of Mar Lodj very close and calmer, or the Pointe of Sangomar which belongs to the National park of the delta of Saloum, registered in the World network of the reserves of biosphere since 1980. By borrowing the track towards North, one can go to the forest Rônier S ( Borassus ) of Yayème.
The presence of many tourists draws the attention of the local population, in particular younger, whose offers of service (walks in the dugout, guarding) or goods (hats, African art) can sometimes importune the visitor.
