Nayarit
The Nayarit is a State Mexico located on the peaceful coast , in the west of the country. Located at the south of Sinaloa and Durango, with the west of the Zacatecas and the north of the Jalisco, it occupies a surface of 26.908 km ². The coast extends on 289 km along the Pacific Ocean.
Nayarit counts approximately 950.000 inhabitants (census of 2005).
The State is divided into 20 municipalities of which Tepic, the capital, Acaponeta, San Blas, Tecuala, Zacualpan, Tuxpan, as well as the island of Mexcaltitán.
