Navitaire
Navitaire is a subsidiary company of Accenture which develops and markets Open Ski, a data-processing Système of reservation, or GDS.
This system was created with an aim of providing an alternative less expensive than the “four dinosaurs” (name given to the four principal GDS which are Amadeus, Saber, Galileo and Worldspan). Contrary to the other GDS, Navitaire aims more the airline companies at low cost than the national airline companies, and tends to take a lead in this crenel.
History
Born in 1993 under name PRA Solutions, Navitaire took its current name in 2001.Navitaire repurchased Open Ski with Hewlett-Packard in 2000.
