The Muséum of natural history of Rouen was founded in 1828 by Felix Archimedes Pouchet (1800-1872). It occupies the convent Sainte-Marie (17th century) with Rouen.

From the richness and the diversity of its collections, it is the more important second Muséum of France after the national Muséum of natural history of Paris.

Closed during 10 years, and after 6 months of work centered on the setting to the standards and safety, the museum is open since February 23rd, 2007, of 14:00 to 17:30. The entry is of 3 euros full price, free for less than 18 years.
